Coal fired Power Plants

Coal fired power plants are a type of power plant that make use of the combustion of coal, Their use provides around 40% of the world's electricity and they are primarily used in developing countries. Countries such as South Africa use coal for 94% of their electricity and China and India use coal for 70-75% of their electricity need.

Coal-fired plants produce electricity by burning coal in a boiler to produce steam. The steam produced, under tremendous pressure, flows into a turbine, which spins a generator to create electricity. The steam is then cooled, condensed back into water and returned to the boiler to start the process over.

Till date SS Engineers has supplied and have under commissioning of 92 Nos. of Industrial Boiler from 20 TPH, 45 ata 440°C to 160 TPH, 110 ata, 540°C.

We have been qualified and approved by ASME for the design, manufacturing and supply of high pressure boilers and we are holding the ASME stamps viz. “P” and “P”. The boiler manufactured by us shall be of high quality to comply with the rigid ASME requirements. We design and manufacture industrial boilers and supply custom- built most efficient boilers with membrane type furnace, travelling grate, spreader stoker, ESP for pollution control equipment.

Air heater by pass system to protect the tubes while running the boiler at low load or during starting of boiler.
Grit interceptor is provided to clean the flue gas from un burnt particles and to reduce load on ESP.
